HC 20 RO Membrane Cleaner – Organic & Biofouling Remover
Application:
HC 20 is a low-pH liquid cleaner specially formulated to remove biofouling and organic contaminants. It is suitable for aromatic polyamide RO membranes, hollow fiber membranes, nanofiltration (NF), and ultrafiltration (UF). Effective cleaning extends membrane life and system runtime. For best results, use in combination with HC 30 and HC 88.

Dilution: Dosage can be calculated using WELL CHEM software. Our engineers will recommend the optimal dose based on actual conditions. Typical dilution is 10%.

Cleaning Instructions:

Check the cleaning tank, hoses, and pre-filters; replace cartridges if needed

Fill the tank with RO or demineralized water
-
Slowly add the calculated amount of HC 20; circulate with a pump and heat to the membrane supplier’s recommended temperature
Note: Contains surfactants and may foam; ensure the return line is below the solution surface in the tank

Circulate cleaning solution for 30 minutes at the recommended flow rate
-
For heavy fouling, discard the first 15% of return solution to prevent redeposition

Clean each stage separately for multi-stage systems; replace solution if it becomes cloudy or if pH deviates from recommended range

Rinse the system with demineralized water before restarting
