Description

High-Purity Crystalline Aluminum Chloride (AlCl₃·6H₂O)

Product Description

Crystalline Aluminum Chloride, also known as Crystalline AlCl₃ or Aluminum Chloride Hexahydrate, is a white or slightly yellow crystal with a mild hydrochloric acid odor. It is widely used in water treatment, precision casting, papermaking, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. Our product is refined to produce high-purity white crystals.

Applications

  1. Water Treatment
    • Ideal for drinking water purification, especially effective for cold, low-turbidity, and slightly alkaline water.
  2. Precision Casting (Hardeners)
    • Acts as a superior hardening agent compared to magnesium chloride and ammonium chloride.
    • Offers higher shell strength and about 3% higher product yield.
    • Requires lower dosage and offers reduced overall cost.
    • No harmful gas emissions during use, improving workplace conditions.
  3. Other Industries
    • Also used in pharmaceuticals, personal care, and cosmetics manufacturing.

Technical Specifications

Item Premium Grade First Grade
Appearance White crystals White crystals
AlCl₃·6H₂O Content (%) ≥ 97.5 ≥ 95.5
Fe Content (%) ≤ 0.002 ≤ 0.01
Insoluble in Water (%) ≤ 0.025 ≤ 0.1

Usage Instructions

  1. Water Treatment
    • Dilute the product 5–20 times with water. Stir to fully dissolve and dose appropriately based on water quality.
  2. Precision Casting
    • For new hardener preparation, mix 50 kg of aluminum chloride with 100 kg of water to form a 33% concentration solution.
    • During usage, AlCl₃ content will gradually decrease, while pH and viscosity will increase.
    • Adjust by adding more aluminum chloride to maintain the proper concentration.
    • If pH exceeds 1.7, add a small amount of industrial hydrochloric acid.

Packaging & Storage

  • Packaging: 25 KG per bag (inner polyethylene liner + outer woven plastic bag)
  • Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place. Avoid moisture, rain, and packaging damage.
  • Shelf Life: 6 months from the production date under proper storage conditions.
