Product Introduction:
This product is a high-purity, polymer-grade cationic monomer. It is a quaternary ammonium salt with high charge density. The liquid is clear, colorless, and has no irritating smell. It is slightly thick and dissolves easily in water. Its chemical formula is C8H16NCl, and the molecular weight is 161.67. The molecule contains alkenyl double bond, so it can be used in different polymer reactions. It can form linear homopolymers and various copolymers. DADMAC is stable at room temperature. It does not hydrolyze, is not flammable, has low skin irritation, low toxicity.
Applications:
DADMAC is a cationic monomer. It can form a wide range of high molecular weight polymer products by homopolymerization or by copolymerization with other monomers. Its polymer, in textile industry used as a formaldehyde-free fixing agent, it forms a film on the fabric to improve color fastness. In paper industry used as a retention and drainage aid, also helps reduce static on coated paper and works as an AKD curing accelerator. In water treatment used for decolorization, flocculation, and purification, it is effective and non-toxic. In daily chemicals used in shampoos as a conditioning agent, wetting agent, and anti-static agent. In oilfield chemicals often called a “small cationic monomer,” Used as a clay stabilizer and as a cationic additive in acid fracturing fluids.
The main functions include charge neutralization, adsorption, flocculation, purification, and decolorization. It is also used as a modifier for synthetic resins to add conductivity and anti-static properties.

Storage and Packaging:

The product is packed in sealed plastic drums. Common sizes: 25kg, 50kg, 125kg, 200kg, and 1000kg IBC.
