Isothiazolinone is a new type of non-oxidizing biocide based on isothiazolinone. It kills microorganisms by breaking the protein bonds in bacteria and algae. Upon contact, it rapidly inhibits microbial growth, leading to cell death. It can also quickly penetrate biofilms on equipment surfaces in cooling water systems, effectively killing microbes beneath the film. It is highly effective against a wide range of bacteria and algae.

Applications:
Widely used for biocidal treatment in industrial circulating cooling water, oilfield injection water, leather, chemicals, papermaking, coatings, and photographic films.
Dosage:
Typical dosage in circulating cooling water: 50–100 mg/L, added intermittently in shock dosing.
