Description

Compound Carbon Source (New Type)

Product Overview:

Carbon is essential for microbial growth, especially for phosphorus release and denitrification. Traditional single carbon sources often have low content and limited performance. It is a newly developed compound carbon source designed for efficient biological denitrification. It offers excellent performance, high cost-effectiveness, and practical usability.
This colorless to light yellow transparent liquid has been independently developed through extensive testing. It requires a smaller dosage with better results, reducing overall treatment cost by 20–50% compared to conventional carbon sources. Custom formulations with effective content from 15% to 85% and COD from 150,000 to 1,200,000 mg/L are available.

Functions:

  1. Microbial Nutrient Source: Provides carbon skeletons and energy for microbial metabolism and cell synthesis, supporting growth and reproduction.
  2. Enhanced Biological Denitrification: Supports both nitrification and denitrification. In low-organic influents, it supplies biodegradable carbon necessary for reducing nitrate to nitrogen gas.

Advantages:

  1. Quick Activation in Low Temperatures: Contains microbial activators, enhancing bacterial activity and growth by 40–60% in cold weather.
  2. High Tolerance: Remains stable without crystallization at low temperatures, salinity, or pH variations. Usable even at -15°C.
  3. Shorter Acclimation Time: Reduces acclimation period from 10–15 days (standard carbon sources) to 5–7 days.
  4. Higher Treatment Capacity: Boosts bacterial growth and denitrification rate by 50–80%, supporting higher load conditions.
  5. Cost-Effective: Saves 20–50% dosage compared to glucose or sodium acetate. Its anti-foaming properties reduce additional defoamer use.

Transport & Storage:

  1. Packed in 25 kg drums, IBC tanks, or delivered by tank trucks.
  2. Do not store oxidants, reductants, sulfur, phosphorus, oils, charcoal, or ferrous sulfate. Keep away from heat or open flames.
  3. Store in a cool, dark place at room temperature. Shelf life: 12 months.
  4. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
