HC 88 RO System Biocide – Biodegradable, Broad-Spectrum Disinfectant
Application:
HC 88 is a broad-spectrum, non-oxidizing biocide designed for RO systems affected by biological fouling. It works quickly even at low dosage. The standard dosage is once per week, added during normal operation for 30 minutes, with permeate water discharged during dosing.
For best results, clean the system with HC 10 or HC 20 before applying HC 88. The dosing frequency depends on the biological activity of feed, concentrate, and permeate water.

Usage Instructions – Standard Mode:

Dose at 400 ppm

Direct product and waste streams to drain
-
Circulate HC 88 through RO system for 30 minutes

Stop dosing and continue flushing to drain for another 15 minutes

Resume normal system operation
Usage Instructions – CIP Mode (for heavy biofouling):

Switch RO system to CIP mode
-
Fill cleaning tank with water and add HC 88 to achieve 400 ppm

If pH > 7, adjust with citric acid or HCl to prolong biocide half-life
-
Circulate solution for 45 minutes

Rinse system thoroughly with demineralized water
