Cause of Foam
Ink and coating formulations are complex and contain active ingredients prone to foaming. Their high viscosity also makes foam generation and elimination more difficult. Foam can also be introduced during mixing and application.
Foam Hazards
For ink, foam may lead to ink shortage, color inconsistency, and incomplete printing. For coatings, foam can cause surface defects like orange peel, pinholes, and craters, affecting appearance, coverage, and anti-corrosion performance.
