Description
Defoamer for Papermaking
Cause of Foam
Foam in papermaking white water mainly comes from various chemical additives added during the pulping process. Bubbles are easily generated during pulping and in the white water closed-loop system.
Foam Hazards
Excessive foam can seriously affect production stability and paper quality. The gas content in the pulp must be controlled within a certain range; otherwise, it can cause white water level fluctuations, paper breakage, pinholes, and surface defects in the finished paper.
